Answers to what’s on your mind.
Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about MamiCoaching, ElternCoaching, ErziehungsCoaching and CorporateCoaching. Don’t see your question? Just ask me.
Who is AvD?
Before becoming a coach, I worked in investment banking and as a consultant — so I know exactly what it feels like to juggle several things at once. Today I live with my husband, our four children and many animals on a farm — working, and right in the middle of real family life. You can find more about my path and my training on the About me page.
Why coaching?
Because change rarely happens through thinking alone. Coaching gives you a protected space to gain clarity, recognize your own patterns and develop concrete steps — supported, but at your own pace.
Why coaching with AvD?
Individual, pragmatic and solution-oriented — not lofty. I combine my own experience of holding several roles in life at once with solid training (including artgerecht®, the Gottman Institute) and an approach that sees your real everyday life.
What does a coaching session with AvD look like?
In three steps: first, the complimentary, no-obligation phone consultation (15 min) — we look together to see if it’s a good fit. Then the first session (60 min): we look closely at You — Your situation, Your resources — and find pragmatic, individual solutions for YOUR everyday life together. From there, I’ll accompany you step by step on your path, for as long as you need me. Every session is tailored individually to you.
Goals of coaching.
More clarity about your own role, concrete strategies for your everyday life, better communication within the family — and more lightness and self-care in the now, instead of “someday.”
What coaching is not.
Coaching does not replace therapy or medical treatment — I am neither a therapist nor a medical professional. Coaching doesn’t start with the past or with diagnoses, but with your concrete concern here and now — solution-oriented and future-focused.
Online only?
Yes, deliberately — and for good reason: online coaching saves you the commute and is much easier to fit into a full family and work life, e.g. during a lunch break or once the kids are asleep. You’re also in your own, familiar environment — which often makes it easier to open up. And no matter where you live: we’re still reachable for you. In short: my offer is a standalone, purely online format in German and English, not in person. It’s important to note that coaching does not replace therapy or medical treatment. I am neither a therapist nor a medical professional.
How much does coaching cost?
All prices are listed on the Fees page. The Complimentary Phone Consultation (15 min) is always free and non-binding.
Why don’t you use gender-inclusive spelling markers?
For better readability, I don’t use the special gender-inclusive spelling markers common in German (such as asterisks or colons) in my texts and emails. Every reference to a person is, of course, meant to include people of all genders.
Do you also support families with neurodivergent children (e.g. ADHD, autism)?
I welcome every inquiry — but want to be honest and transparent: I don’t have specialized training for supporting families with neurodivergent children. To make sure you get the best possible support, I’d recommend reaching out to an appropriately qualified specialist in these cases.
